  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract

Mix well

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined

Do not overmix; some lumps are okay

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease it with non-stick cooking spray or oil

Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the iron's instructions until the waffles are golden brown and crisp

Remove the waffles from the iron and keep them warm in a low-temperature oven while you cook the remaining batter
