Smoked Cheddar Grilled Cheese with Granny Smith Apple and Dijon Mustard

A tasty mix of smoky cheese, tart apple, and tangy Dijon mustard makes this Smoked Cheddar Grilled Cheese with Granny Smith Apple and Dijon Mustard. A classic grilled cheese sandwich has just the right amount of taste and texture.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded smoked cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions:

Put a little Dijon mustard on one side of every piece of bread

On the side of one slice of bread that has Dijon mustard on it, put a lot of shredded smoked cheddar cheese

On top of the cheese, put the thinly sliced Granny Smith apple

Put the other piece of bread on top of the apples and cheese, Dijon mustard side down

This will make a sandwich

Cover the outside of the sandwich with butter

Set a griddle or skillet over medium heat to warm it up

It will take about 34 minutes per side for the bread to turn golden brown and the cheese to melt after you put the sandwich in the pan

Take it out of the pan, let it cool for a minute, and then cut it in half across the middle

Enjoy while hot!
