False Lashes Technique - Stacking/Combining Lashes

These are the false eyelashes I bought in Hong Kong a few years ago. I bought them because the price is so cheap I felt like they were practically free so I couldn't help myself and got few to play with. I haven't touched these in a while and as you can see one of the boxes are still full. The reason why I haven't been wearing them is because the lashes are either too thin, too long, not dramatic enough, too dramatic etc etc. But! I suddenly thought about stacking my lashes, something I rarely do. I decided to cut them up and combine them to create some interesting looking lashes. By stacking eyelashes you can create some thick and dramatic lashes just like Dolly Wink lashes and other Japanese style lashes.

How to combine lashes:
1. Use a thin lash as a base. Measure the pieces and have a rough idea where you want to place it.
2. Glue the base lash and make sure the glue is almost dry before trying to stick the individual piece to it.
3. Use a bit of force to press them together. Make sure both of bands are very close to each other. If the glue isn't almost dry it'll slip off very easily.

You don't have to use new eyelashes. You can use excess pieces, pieces that you cut up from previous lashes. Remember not to bin them!

I always use a very thin and sparse false lash as the base and I simply glue pieces to it.
Instead of wearing 3 full stacks of eyelashes you're really only wearing one, with a bit extra here and there.
This way it won't feel heavy or look too bulky.

My ways of combining the false lashes

I tend to place the thicker lash on the outer edge but you can place it wherever you want e.g. in the middle.

Some other lash designs:
You can create all sorts of designs ~! So there's always a new look and new effect.

These are like Japanese style eyelashes without the price tag.
I can't remember the price exactly but I reckon you can buy about 2 boxes for the price of 1 pair of Dolly Wink lashes.

20 pairs of lashes = 2 pairs of lashes Dolly Wink (1 box) ?!

So instead of buying expensive lashes you can buy cheaper ones to make your own pretty looking lashes.

Hope you found this post useful. See you next time.

Jealous~ wish I could go to Hong Kong this summer too! The non-brand lashes are ridiculously cheap I think it will be even cheaper now compared to when I got it a few years back because they are a lot more popular. :)

omg ;O Those eyelashes are so cute! I like all of them ! So cheap. I do dare say that I believe buying more eyelashes at cheaper prices are better because they don't last long either way. Reuse, recycle.

I have always seen cheap ebay lashes but all of them look like crap! Either way too crazy and dramatic or too sparse. Now I can buy them and make my own variations!
Thank you so much for this amazing post!
